How much should longevity awards count?

LeBron or MJ?

I can’t say that I agree with this guy’s take. LeBron’s stats and performance are impressive, but the ultimate prize doesn’t necessarily go to the guy who plays the longest.

We may never settle the MJ versus LeBron debate, but sometimes the way we measure success really does matter.

Spending a long time with God doesn’t really count if our hearts aren’t actually with God.

1 Samuel‬ ‭21‬:‭7‬ ‭says, “Now a certain man of the servants of Saul was there that day, detained before the LORD; and his name was Doeg, an Edomite, the chiefest of the herdmen that belonged to Saul.”

Doeg turns out to be a really bad guy.

Spending a long time with God doesn’t really count if our hearts aren’t actually with God.

I hope we’ll spend a lot of time with God, and I hope that’ll come from our heart.

Today's Bible reading is 1 Samuel 21.
