Enjoy blessings
Enjoy little things: Sometimes that’s the key to really enjoying life. If we choose to be content and live a life that God can bless, we’ll always have so much to enjoy and be thankful for.
1 Samuel 23:19-21 says, “Then came up the Ziphites to Saul to Gibeah, saying, Doth not David hide himself with us in strong holds in the wood, in the hill of Hachilah, which is on the south of Jeshimon? Now therefore, O king, come down according to all the desire of thy soul to come down; and our part shall be to deliver him into the king's hand. And Saul said, Blessed be ye of the LORD; for ye have compassion on me.”
They were not doing God’s business. They were doing wicked king Saul’s business, and Saul still tried to put God’s name and God’s blessing on it.
God offers blessings to those who follow Him, but to reject Him and live our own way and then expect the blessings is absurd.
Let’s not try to add God into our lives. Let’s put Him first and live a life He can bless.
Today's Bible reading is 1 Samuel 23.
