You gotta choose something!

Boots has chosen a new nap spot! Unfortunately he will have to let go of Jen’s school bag soon since she needs to teach the first day on Monday, but for now he is claiming that spot as his own.

Our choices are a lot more important than a nap spot (even though I do love a good nap!).

Our choices are not limited by our background or past mistakes. They come down to this: Will you choose God? That’s the most important question for our eternity and for daily needs as well.

Joshua‬ ‭8‬:‭33‬ ‭says, “And all Israel, and their elders, and officers, and their judges, stood on this side the ark and on that side before the priests the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, as well the stranger, as he that was born among them; half of them over against mount Gerizim, and half of them over against mount Ebal; as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded before, that they should bless the people of Israel.”

Strangers just means people from other countries, and I think it’s wonderful that others had joined the Israelites through faith in God.

As they entered the Promised Land, they reviewed the blessings of following God and the curses for going their own way.

At that point, everyone chose to follow God, but that would soon come down to an individual daily choice.

What are you choosing today? Blessings and curses are both on the table for us still today. So is a daily, fulfilling relationship with God.

Today’s Bible reading is Joshua 8.
