Even more cornage, I mean carnage! 

We’ve had more compliments about our garden than almost any other year and also more wind damage than ever before. 

I was able to put in some more stakes and get most of the corn standing back up, but sometimes we have to realize what we can do and what we simply can’t do. 

We need to recognize and submit to what’s our part and what’s God’s part. 

Deuteronomy‬ ‭31‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭says, “And Moses went and spake these words unto all Israel. And he said unto them, I am an hundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: also the LORD hath said unto me, Thou shalt not go over this Jordan. The LORD thy God, he will go over before thee, and he will destroy these nations from before thee, and thou shalt possess them: and Joshua, he shall go over before thee, as the LORD hath said.”

Moses had the power, the ability to try to fight for his own way or fight against God’s decision about Moses’ earlier sin, but Moses submitted and was a part of the new plan. 

He recognized that it had been God, not Moses himself, leading the people all along. 

Numbers 12:3 says that “Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.”

Meekness is power under control. Instead of fighting as hard as he could, Moses submitted to his role and continued to lead right up to the end of his life.
