Are giants too big for you?

So apparently all those little larvae on this hornworm caterpillar will grow into a type of wasp that will kill these other hornworms before they destroy all of our tomato plants! Kinda gross but good for garden defense apparently. 

That “giant” of a caterpillar can be brought down by those little things, and there’s not a giant in our lives that’s any match for us…as long as we are on God’s side. 

We need faith that God can and faith that defeat isn’t final. 

Joshua 15:13-14 says, “And unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a part among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the LORD to Joshua, even the city of Arba the father of Anak, which city is Hebron. 14 And Caleb drove thence the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak.

Caleb faced an uphill battle into the high ground against giants, and he knew he could win as he went where God called him to go.  

Joshua 15:63 says, “As for the Jebusites the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not drive them out: but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Judah at Jerusalem unto this day.” 

David would eventually fully capture Jerusalem, but the fortified, defensible position there was no match for God. Yes they lost a battle, but they could’ve won with God’s help (God had already called them to take and possess that land). 

Defeats aren’t final unless we decide to let them be final. And giants like defeat, temptation, fear, stress, and anxiety are no match for our God.
