With you in the battle
We sure appreciate everyone who has reached out, prayed for us, and shown up for the celebration of life service for my mother in law. We feel the love and support of family and friends in a real way, and it was a blessing to be able to take my girls to the Collingsworth Family concert and spend that time together this evening after a difficult week.
But even better than friends and family, God is with us every step of the way.
We pray a lot for God to end the battles, the struggles we face, and sometimes He does that. But our biggest need is always God no matter what we are facing.
Deuteronomy 20:1 says, “When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the LORD thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.”
So pray for God to end the battle you’re going through, but stay connected to Him whether things get easier right away or not.
Today’s Bible reading is Deuteronomy 20.
