Where did it come from? Where did it go?

Thinking of the water in the Conococheague Creek, not some guy named Cotton-Eyed Joe by the way!

I always enjoy this spot at Camp Wild and often think how that water flowed down from where we live in Chambersburg! I’ve never been to the other end of the creek, but I know it keeps flowing for a long, long ways.

There need to be some things in our lives that people know they come from God, not us.

Deuteronomy‬ ‭9‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭says, “Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the LORD hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee. Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

It ‭‭would be God ultimately, not them. And that would be obvious.

When we let God’s truth and His love flow through us, people will be able to tell. And who knows where it’ll go.

Today’s Bible reading is Deuteronomy 9.
