This plan is full of holes!🤣

Fun demonstration of how the water coming out of those holes stops when the bottle drops. Gravity loses its pull on the water, and sin loses its pull on us as we turn to Jesus.

I’m also reminded that some of our plans for life are full of holes as well.

Numbers‬ ‭32‬:‭5‬ ‭says, “Wherefore, said they, if we have found grace in thy sight, let this land be given unto thy servants for a possession, and bring us not over Jordan.”

‭‭

The Promised Land seemed ideal for everyone, but some tribes found what they were looking for on the other side of the Jordan River.

While the Bible doesn’t clearly say they disobeyed, going for something less than what God promised seems like following self not God.

God has different plans for different people, but certain things are always God’s will for everyone. And if we want to know God’s will for our next steps, we should be faithful to obey in the current steps.

Here are a couple things the Bible mentions:

1 Thessalonians 4:3: “For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:”

1 Thessalonians 5:18: “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

Being pure and being thankful are good places to start for today, and the Bible and the Holy Spirit will lead us to even more if we are willing to follow.

Today’s Bible reading is Numbers 32.
