Strong enough?

We had a wonderful first night of VBS! This floating table illustrated things that can (and can’t) hold us up, and several young people got counseled about salvation and turned to Jesus! Only Jesus is strong enough to save us and strong enough to help us every single day.

Numbers‬ ‭31‬:‭48‬-‭49‬ ‭says, “And the officers which were over thousands of the host, the captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds, came near unto Moses: and they said unto Moses, Thy servants have taken the sum of the men of war which are under our charge, and there lacketh not one man of us.”

‭‭

That’s an amazing thing to be able to say after a battle! When we follow the Lord, He will always be with us as we face battles.

We faced a bit of a “battle” right before VBS started. Addison had pain in her ear that just kept getting worse. Jen ended up taking her to an urgent care right as VBS got rolling.

Thankfully it’s “just” an ear infection, and she already has the first dose of antibiotic in her now. But what a crazy start to VBS! And what a testament to God’s goodness and His ability to hold us up and hold us together no matter we face.

I appreciate each person who stepped up, and I love that we can count on Jesus being strong enough no matter what.

Today’s Bible reading is Numbers 31.
