Some people “Kant” seem to hear well!🤣

I thought I had said my name correctly, but in the friendly Chick-fil-A worker’s defense, most people don’t seem to understand my first name when I say it!

It’s usually not that we can’t listen; it’s that we don’t listen. Or we don’t put what we hear into action. 

Deuteronomy 5:1 says, “And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them.”

They definitely heard what God expected of them. They learned it (sometimes reluctantly). But the rubber met the road when it came time to keep and do those things. 

Yes, they needed to hear what God said, but then they needed to put it into action. They need to be “doers of the word, and not hearers only,“ as James 1:22 says. 

That’s often the same challenge we face today.
