Are we there yet?
The journey often takes a mix of things to help us, and that mix of lights illustrates that perfectly!
I appreciate Glenn setting up lights for our VBS stage, and I was amazed that the white light on FREEDOM doesn’t have any white lightbulbs but instead has a perfect mix of the primary colors to form the white light.
Good reminder (in my opinion) that it often takes a mix of things to form light and a mix of things to help us be able to grow more like our Savior on this journey through life.
Numbers 33 recaps a lot of Israel’s travels after leaving Egypt. Verses 47-49 say, “And they removed from Almon-diblathaim, and pitched in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo. And they departed from the mountains of Abarim, and pitched in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho. And they pitched by Jordan, from Beth-jeshimoth even unto Abel-shittim in the plains of Moab.”
A long journey for sure! Some days were easier. Other days were harder. All were for their good and God’s glory. In fact the journey got them out of Egypt and got a lot of Egypt out of them.
We won’t always enjoy every step along the way, but we can grow every step along the way.
Today’s Bible reading is Numbers 33.
