Words have power!

We make words louder during church services, but a lot of times it’s what we say outside of church that carries even more weight.

Numbers‬ ‭12‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭says, “And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman. And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it.”

There are obviously times we need to confront someone about an issue (although I’m not sure this was one of those times!), but it should never be to promote ourselves. We should never criticize someone to make ourselves feel better or to gain something for ourselves.

We need to ask ourselves

Can we do it out of love?

Can we do it FOR the other person?

Miriam and Aaron had to learn this lesson, and so do we. And it’s a lot earlier to learn from their mistake than to face what they had to face.

Today’s Bible verse is Numbers 12.
