When we look to the light, darkness can’t stop us

Light doesn’t cast a shadow.

1 John 1:5 says, “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.”

We need to look at how bright the light is not how deep the darkness is.

Numbers‬ ‭13‬:‭30‬-‭31‬ ‭says, “And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it. But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.”

We need to look at situations through the lens of what God can do not what we can do on our own. That’s what Caleb (and Joshua) did.

12 men went to spy on Canaan. 10 were bad, and 2 were good. At least that’s what the song I grew up singing says. Israel missed their chance to enter the Promised Land at that time, and all they had to do was look to God not problems.

That’s often exactly what we need to do as well.

Today’s Bible verse is Numbers 13.
