We all have things we need to watch out for!
I didn’t realize my mistake at first, but wearing a Gators hat to go see Captain Hook at Disneyland last week was a little risky! I did reassure him that it was an alligator, not a crocodile!🤣
Captain Hook watches out for crocs. God helps us watch out for so many dangers if we will take the time to listen to Him.
Numbers 9:8 says, “And Moses said unto them, Stand still, and I will hear what the LORD will command concerning you.”
I wonder how much we miss out on because we don’t just stand still and listen to God. If we’re too busy rushing from thing to thing to thing, we won’t ever hear everything God wants to say to us.
Verses 22-23 say, “Or whether it were two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, remaining thereon, the children of Israel abode in their tents, and journeyed not: but when it was taken up, they journeyed. At the commandment of the LORD they rested in the tents, and at the commandment of the LORD they journeyed: they kept the charge of the LORD, at the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.”
That level of day-by-day, moment-by-moment leading is available to us as well. It comes from the still. small voice of the Holy Spirit. Will we take time to listen? If we will, we can avoid so many problems.
Today’s Bible verse is Numbers 9.
