They say the Pacific Ocean has no memory
But I’m thankful for the memories we got to make at the beach with Addison’s penpal and her family!
Memories are wonderful…if they’re of good things! I’m sure we all have things we’d like to forget, and I’m blown away by how much God chooses to forget.
Numbers 7:89 says, “And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubims: and he spake unto him.”
As Moses and the Israelites completed the tabernacle and dedicated it, God could’ve spoken from the altar where sacrifices were offered, but He chose to speak from the mercy seat. Of course His presence rested there with the ark of the covenant, and I love the reminder that God is merciful.
Today we can go straight to God in prayer and relationship, and His mercy continues!
Isaiah 43:25 says, “I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.”
God remembers His promises but mercifully forgets our sins when we come to Him for forgiveness!
Today’s Bible reading is Numbers 7.
