Life is not just about the big moments

What kind of life are you building with each moment-by-moment decision?
Numbers 24:12-13 says, “And Balaam said unto Balak, Spake I not also to thy messengers which thou sentest unto me, saying, If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the commandment of the LORD, to do either good or bad of mine own mind; but what the LORD saith, that will I speak?”
In that big moment, Balaam took a good stand for truth and followed God. But in other moments, he often gave into temptation to seek money or fame no matter what was at stake.
Revelation 2:14 even gives this insight about Balaam: “But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.”
In big tests, Balaam blessed Israel as God led Him, but in that other moment, he gave into temptation and hurt Israel.
Stepping up during big moments is great, but stepping up every day during normal, moment-by-moment times often makes us who we really are.
