It’s only a little!

Do you like to compromise? It probably depends what it is. For my girls, grass needs to be dry for them to walk across on their way to church. Granted they’re in church shoes, but even a little water is too much. 

That’s all well and good, and there are a lot of things that we shouldn’t compromise on even a little. 

Numbers‬ ‭23‬:‭11‬-‭13‬ ‭says, “And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether. And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which the LORD hath put in my mouth? And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them: thou shalt see but the utmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: and curse me them from thence.”

Balaam was for sale. He spoke the truth but then continued to consider his options. 

If compromising is an option, we’ll always be tempted to take it. We need to decide now, ahead of time, that we won’t compromise with sin no matter what.
