God uses the plan to provide for each of us

And God invites us to be involved, a part of His plan.

Sometimes the plan involves big things (or just big branches) that we don’t immediately understand.

We came home to quite a mess today from the storm. We didn’t lose power for long and my parents were a huge help with cleanup.

I don’t always know why storms come, but I know God has a plan. And sometimes He’s working today to prepare us for tomorrow.

Numbers‬ ‭1‬:‭2‬-‭3‬ ‭says, “Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by their polls; from twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel: thou and Aaron shall number them by their armies.”

Many of the chapters in Numbers can be tedious and confusing to read. But God’s purpose was to get Israel to the Promised Land. This preparation was important, and God used it to prepare them for what was coming.

I love that God will use today to help prepare us for tomorrow, and it’s amazing that God uses the master plan involving thousands of people to help each one of us.

Today’s Bible reading is Numbers 1.
