A week with no TV?!?

No TV, no problem! Addison and Brooklyn are having a great time at camp so far! They are making friends, having fun, learning more about God, and not watching any television!

It’s often seems hard for kids and teens to give up screens while at camp, but they usually don’t miss them. When we turn off the TV we often find better things to do, and when we turn down the cultural noise around us, we often listen to what God is saying more.

I love the saying, “When we find God is all we have, we’ll find He’s all we need.”

And when we choose to find our everything in God, anything else He gives us is just a blessing.

Numbers 18:20 says this about the priests: “And the LORD spake unto Aaron, Thou shalt have no inheritance in their land, neither shalt thou have any part among them: I am thy part and thine inheritance among the children of Israel.”

It’s not that Aaron and his descendants got nothing. It’s that they had to depend on God for everything.

Is there anything in your life holding you back from God? Anything distracting you from His voice?

Today’s Bible reading is Numbers 18.
