I think I found exactly what it looks like when we worry!

Worry does about as much good as pouring water into a colander: It goes nowhere and accomplishes nothing.

Instead of worrying, we can enjoy real peace and fellowship that only God offers.

Leviticus 3:1 says, “And if his oblation be a sacrifice of peace offering, if he offer it of the herd; whether it be a male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before the LORD.”

Peace offerings are also known as fellowship offerings. They were not done to make peace possible since sin offerings took care of that. Peace offering were about enjoying peace and fellowship with God.

So what does a peace offering look like today? I think it involves choosing to live in peace and fellowship with God instead of struggling to go through life on our own, looking to Jesus for our peace instead of looking to ourselves.

So take the time to pray even when you’ve got a lot to do.

Go to church BECAUSE it’s a busy weekend.

Put God first even when you don’t feel like you have much left to give anyone.

Because of Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice, we can enjoy peace and fellowship with God all the time. Let’s go to Him instead of worrying away our peace.

Today’s Bible reading is Leviticus 3.
