Give God your best
We often shop at Weis, the local grocery store that’s just up the road from us. It used to be Sunnyway grocery store and this chicken game has been there since my childhood. I’m glad they got some shiny new machines for kids to put quarters into, but I’m also glad they kept what many of us locals view as the best game!
Our best can be different things. What we do with it is what matters most.
Exodus 36:4-5 says, “And all the wise men, that wrought all the work of the sanctuary, came every man from his work which they made; And they spake unto Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work, which the LORD commanded to make.”
When it came to financial giving, they simply gave too much!
For detailed work, they went all out and did nothing halfway.
Whatever we give God, let’s give Him our very best.
And as 1 Corinthians 6:20 reminds us, “ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.”
Let’s give ourselves and everything we have to God. He’s given us everything we need for this life and eternity.
Today’s Bible reading is Exodus 36.
