Fake things can be scary!
In the early years of our marriage, Jen had a dream in which she was bitten by a purpose snake…and I didn’t stop it. In her dream!🤣 She took this picture today to remind me of my “failure.” I think she might not be mad at me anymore, but she definitely was scared and upset when she first woke up!
Fake things can be scary, and that includes fake worship.
Leviticus 10:1-2 says, “And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.”
God told them how to worship at the tabernacle, and this was in complete disobedience.
Worshipping our own way, when it goes against the Bible, is fake and wrong. Instead of elevating God, it really just promotes ourself.
Today’s Bible reading is Leviticus 10.
