Are you a teacher?
Maybe you enjoy teaching. Maybe a classroom full of students sounds like a nightmare. Or maybe you feel like you don’t have anything to teach or anyone to teach it to.
Most of us won’t ever be classroom teachers (even though I count it a privilege to be one). But every Christian has something to teach and people around them that need to learn.
Exodus 35:30-34 says, “And Moses said unto the children of Israel, See, the LORD hath called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; and he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship; and to devise curious works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in the cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of wood, to make any manner of cunning work. And he hath put in his heart that he may teach, both he, and Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.”
They could do amazing work, and they were willing to teach others.
2 Timothy 2:2 says, “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”
That’s how our faith continues and grows: We teach it to others who teach it to others.
It can be a lot harder to teach someone instead of just doing it yourself, but the impact is far greater when we teach.
Who can you influence and teach for the cause of Christ today?
Today’s Bible reading is Exodus 35.
