A fun mess!
We are privileged to have friends with us this weekend, and their kids and our kids put on a play with costumes and everything.
The mess represents the fun they had.
God sets standards for holiness because our messes don’t measure up to God’s perfect standard. It’s not that we measure up on our own. It’s that we need Jesus and His holiness. Everything else points to that.
Leviticus 22:1-2 says, “And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto Aaron and to his sons, that they separate themselves from the holy things of the children of Israel, and that they profane not my holy name in those things which they hallow unto me: I am the LORD.”
Verse 21 says, “And whosoever offereth a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD to accomplish his vow, or a freewill offering in beeves or sheep, it shall be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no blemish therein.”
The standard of holiness is beyond us. That’s why we need Jesus.
Bring your “mess” to Jesus and let Him change you. That mess will soon be the memories of what Jesus did in your life.
Today’s Bible reading is Leviticus 22.
