“Yet” is a big word

My wife is making her delicious violet jam, but it doesn’t look very violet…yet. It has to go through a process, a chemical reaction, and then it’ll turn that beautiful violet color.

No sense in judging the color…yet.

Exodus‬ ‭5‬:‭22‬-‭23‬ ‭says, “And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Lord, wherefore hast thou so evil entreated this people? why is it that thou hast sent me? For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all.”

Moses forgot the word yet! God had a perfect plan to deliver Israel and was putting that plan into motion. It wouldn’t be on Moses’ timetable, and it wouldn’t always be easy. But it would be completely effective. Moses just couldn’t see it…yet.

Don’t forget the word yet! Maybe you’ve been praying about something for a while and God hasn’t answered…yet. Keep praying!

Maybe you’ve been battling some temptation and haven’t gotten victory…yet. Keep battling.

God’s not done yet so we shouldn’t be done yet either.

Today’s Bible reading is Exodus 5.
