Weed eater wouldn’t start! No power!

I don’t really wanna admit how long I tried to start that weed eater! After getting hot, sweaty, and frustrated wondering why the silly thing wouldn’t work, I realized it was switched off.😳 No matter how hard I pulled, it wasn’t going to have any power.

No matter what we’re facing or what’s going on, let’s look to God. Without Him, we are ultimately powerless no matter how hard we try.

Kind of reminds me of Saturday during holy week. Jesus is in the tomb. Everything is sad and silent. We know that Sunday’s coming, but everyone there faced the challenge: Would they look to God during that silent Saturday or not.

When things seems hopeless, we still look to God, maybe even more so.

Obviously, our focus is on Jesus and the resurrection a lot this week, but I think the same lesson applies to Moses as we’re reading through the book of Exodus.

Exodus‬ ‭4‬:‭1‬-‭4‬ ‭says, “And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee. And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod. And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it. And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand:”

Moses was intimidated to go before Pharaoh and speak, but Moses would never have to worry about what he was capable of on his own. He just needed to be willing to trust, obey, and see what God would do through him.

Today’s Bible reading is Exodus 4.
