God knows the solution before we see the problem

I planted some grass seed recently and knew that it needed to be watered in order to start growing. Really didn’t have the time to water it all (I spread grass seed in a lot more places than just where that stump used to be), and wouldn’t you know it God already had a plan and it started to rain even though rain hadn’t been in the forecast when I spread the seed.

Exodus 2 records at least 2 times God already had a plan before the problem even came up.

Exodus‬ ‭2‬:‭5‬-‭7‬ says, “And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river; and her maidens walked along by the river's side; and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it. And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews' children. Then said his sister to Pharaoh's daughter, Shall I go and call to thee a nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for thee?”

Pharaoh wanted Israelite baby boys executed, but Moses’ mom did what she could to save his life…and then saw that God had a plan all along.

Not only was baby Moses safe, but Moses’ mom got to raise him for a time.

Exodus‬ ‭2‬:‭24‬-‭25‬ ‭says, “And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.”

The plan for their exodus from slavery would soon be put into action with every detail already worked out.

Whether it’s a mother who wants her baby to survive, an entire people group that desperately wants to be freed from slavery, or our needs right now, God knows the solution before we even see the problem.

Today’s Bible reading is Exodus 2.
