Who’s the smartest person you know?
If it’s you, that’s a bad sign!
When we act like a know-it-all, we usually prove just how little we really know.
In Job 34:35, Elihu said, “Job hath spoken without knowledge, And his words were without wisdom.”
Elihu was literally speaking without knowledge here for sure.
Neither Job nor Elihu knew what was really going on or why God was allowing these things into his life, but that didn’t stop Elihu from speaking like a know-it-all.
Instead of acting (or talking) like a know-it-all, let’s go to God for wisdom and direction. He knows everything and will be glad to show us what to say (and when to stay silent!).
Today’s Bible reading is Job 34.
