What do you think: Do the old, dirty snow piles need to just melt already?

I love snow, but even I’m ready for spring after a couple beautiful sunny days lately!   I vote that the old dirty snow piles hurry up and melt, but I imagine the big ones will still be around for a bit.

Old snow piles aren’t enjoyable when they get all dirty, and sadly that’s how some people think God sees them: too much sin, too many mistakes for God to love or accept them.

But we don’t come to God because we’re perfect. We come to God because we aren’t.

Job‬ ‭11‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭says, “If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, And let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles. For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; Yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear:” ‭‭

Job’s “friend” Zophar didn’t get it. He seems to have thought that Job’s troubles had to be punishment for sin and that Job had to clean himself up BEFORE coming to God. But we can’t come to God like that. We come to God for that. We don’t come to God because we’re perfect. We come to God because we aren’t.

Today’s Bible reading is Job 11.
