It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s…

Too cloudy to see much of anything!

Have you ever seen something up in the air and it took a little bit to figure out what it was? Maybe it was a bird. Maybe it was a plane. I doubt if it was Superman, but maybe a helicopter or a kite off in the distance.

Some things are difficult to recognize but not that urgent. One time it’s really important to recognize reality is when it comes to Who God is.

We need the right view of God if we’re going to have the right view of anyone else.

Job‬ ‭38‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭says, “Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said, Who is this that darkeneth counsel By words without knowledge? Gird up now thy loins like a man; For I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.”

‭‭

God talked to Job first not Job’s friends even though the friends had a lot to answer for.

God helps Job adjust his view even before God adjusts his circumstances. God is about to bless Job with twice as much as he had before, but Job  needed to get the right view of God again first.

Our focus also needs to be on doing right and keeping our view of God and relationship with Him right, instead of focusing on anyone or anything else most of all.

Nothing will be quite right if our view of God is wrong, and nothing will be hopeless or defeating if we keep the right view of God.

Today’s Bible reading is Job 38.
