Down and out but not done for

Kinda dreary today and chilly, but I’m doing great. It’s even my birthday,and I  had a student give me a crocheted octopus, so that’s just awesome!

But we all get down and out sometimes, down in the dumps and need to be reminded of how it’s still possible to look up.

In Job‬ ‭14‬:‭4‬, Job says, “Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? Not one.”

But God can do exactly that! He did it me, and He will do that with your life if you come to Him for salvation. 

Job‬ ‭14‬:‭7‬-‭10‬ ‭says, “For there is hope of a tree, If it be cut down, that it will sprout again, And that the tender branch thereof will not cease. Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, And the stock thereof die in the ground; Yet through the scent of water it will bud, And bring forth boughs like a plant. But man dieth, and wasteth away: Yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he?”

Job was so far down he struggled to see hope for people (even if there’s hope for a tree). Thankfully he will have the chance to look up before long. 

Through God, there is hope. Let’s never forget that, and let’s always remember to look up even when we get down.
