It sure seems like the “tipping point”shouldn’t be this low!

This beaded chain makes for a great illustration! If you get a few inches of the chain falling out of the cup, the rest will naturally follow as it all falls out. It doesn’t take much to reach that tipping point, just a little more than the height of the cup.

What’s really important is where our tipping point is spiritually…and how we respond when we get close to it.

Job‬ ‭2‬:‭9‬ ‭says, “Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.”

‭‭

Job’s wife has obviously reached her tipping point, but not Job.

Verse 10 says, “But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.”

We can all reach a tipping point. That’s when it’s extra important to have our lives anchored to God and the truth of the Bible. After all, tipping points just mean we can fall either way: toward God or away from Him.

Today’s Bible reading is Job 2.
