Claimed!

I think Jen wants people to know that I’m hers! I really like this fun Valentine’s Day gift Jen got me, and I think she knew it would become a devotional.🤣

I’m proud to be “claimed” by my amazing wife; it’s an identity I’m glad to display. 

Genesis 48:16 says, “The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.”

Jacob was nearing the end of his life, and he chose to bless Joseph’s sons he was just able to meet for the first time. And he proudly wanted God’s name, God’s amazing plan on them, the plan that went all the way back to Abraham and would extend all the way to Jesus and beyond. 

If you’ve trusted Jesus as your Savior, you’re part of God‘s amazing plan as well. He has a claim on your life and an amazing plan for you. Are you ashamed or proud of that?

It might be a little weird to make a T-shirt with Jesus’ face all over it, but there are many ways to show our faith.

Today’s Bible reading is Genesis 48.
