If you hang around dogs, you might get ________

CHEESE! Well, they did at least! Good bribe to let me get the picture! We’d normally say if you hang around dogs, you might get fleas, and it really is true that who we hang around with will affect us in a big way. 

Genesis‬ ‭14‬:‭10‬-‭12‬ ‭says, “And the vale of Siddim was full of slimepits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and fell there; and they that remained fled to the mountain. And they took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their victuals, and went their way. And they took Lot, Abram's brother's son, who dwelt in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.”

Lot hung out with the wrong crowd and got a lot worse results than some fleas!

Abraham rescued Lot and others, but Lot tragically went right back to Sodom. He shouldn’t have been anywhere near there to begin with.

We can’t help but be in the world, but it’s absolutely tragic for the world to be in us.
