Happy New Year! Here’s how to start the year on the right foot 

I got a good laugh when I read this theory earlier. All you have to do is immediately pick up your left foot at midnight on New Year’s Eve and you automatically start the new year off on the right foot!🤣

Thankfully, from the very first chapter of the Bible, even the very first verse, God has great advice for us on how to start anything off right. 

Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬ ‭says, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”

In the beginning God…

He’s the only one Who’s always been. He is the Creator of everything, and He is the right foundation for every aspect of our lives.

By the end of the chapter, we read this: ‭“And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.” (Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭31‬). 

Obviously, sin has messed up God’s perfect original creation, but still we need to start right if we want to end right. And that means keeping God first as the foundation of each part of our lives. That’s not a New Year’s resolution to give up on if we fail. That’s a priority to choose every single day.
