I’m cold. You should feel sorry for me!🤣
It is chilly here at the Penn State/Nebraska football game, but I doubt you feel too sorry for me since it’s my own doing. It’s definitely a privilege to have been given these tickets and to be able to be here, and I actually do enjoy this kind of weather. But sometimes the things we have to go through are our fault. Sometimes we don’t need pity; we need repentance. And often we don’t need anyone to feel sorry for us; we need to make better decisions.
1 Peter 4:15-16 says, “But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.”
Suffering has different causes, and the cause often makes all the difference.
Verse 19 says, “Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.”
When we go through a difficulty BECAUSE we are following God, we need to keep going. Otherwise, we might need to stop and change.
