How to get a grip

Another fun thing to try: Rub your fingers on some fresh peeled garlic, and then you can fairly easily pick up an egg yolk without breaking it. I’ll admit this took several tries and ironically I prayed before the last try and then God helped me to do it right.

Sometimes it just takes something special to get a grip and keep a grip on ourselves, on reality, and on what to do in a certain situation.

Proverbs‬ ‭26‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭says, “Answer not a fool according to his folly, Lest thou also be like unto him. Answer a fool according to his folly, Lest he be wise in his own conceit.”

Sounds almost contradictory and definitely a bit confusing. I think that’s part of the point. There are times to answer and confront a foolish person and times not to. So how do we know which to do in a specific situation? By asking God and following His leadership.

Christians don’t have some special insight or magic formula to breeze through life, but we do know Who to take our questions to.

We don’t have some special grip on life, but through God, we know we can get a grip. In fact, we know we can keep going no matter what because He’s got a grip on us.
