Don’t get weighed down
Same water on the outside of each balloon. What’s on the inside makes all the difference whether it sinks or floats (water temperature in this case).
What’s inside affects which way we go each day. Will we look up to see what God will do or look down at the worst-case-scenario of every situation in our lives, every what if that could go wrong?
Proverbs 27:3-4 says, “A stone is heavy, and the sand weighty; But a fool's wrath is heavier than them both. Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; But who is able to stand before envy?”
It’s difficult to live right while carrying around wrong things like that.
And it’s easy to feel guilty when we find ourself weighed down. But the better answer is to look to God. He will forgive us if that’s what we need, and He offers the hope and perspective and truth that we all need.
