By faith we…

You might say the ball is held up by science, and you’d be right (well, atmospheric pressure). And that’s kinda the point: We can’t see what’s holding the ball up, but we know it’s real and even see a lot of how it works. We can’t see God, but when we respond to Him in faith, we can “see” Him at work in our lives and even see a lot of how He works. 

Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭32‬-‭34‬ ‭says, “And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.”

Because of faith they were willing to do those things.
