What does church mean to you?

For me it’s where I pastor, where so many friends are, where my family worships together, and so much more.

1 Timothy 3:14-16 says, “These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly: 15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. 16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”

The foundation is Jesus and His Word. The church is the pillar and ground of the truth but not the decider of it.

Ours is to follow not to make it up as we go.

I’m thankful that my ministry, my family, our church, and every church has no need to come up with truth. We already have it, and we get to stand FOR the truth and stand ON the truth.
