Trying a new (old) thing
An Adventures in Odyssey episode mentioned chocolate sodas, and I told the girls I knew how to make them from my illustrious career as an ice cream sundae maker (high school job). So of course we had to try them.
They’re an old classic but still a fun way to try something “new” to see for ourselves if we like them. The girls did not!
Proverbs 25:2-3 says, “It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: But the honour of kings is to search out a matter. The heaven for height, and the earth for depth, And the heart of kings is unsearchable.”
God has created an amazing universe and revealed Himself to us in our daily lives as well. Are we willing to take time to notice, even if it takes a bit of “studying” to look into it?
If we never “try something new” by taking time to notice what’s really going on, we’ll miss out on so much (including way better things than chocolate sodas).
