The real Jesus

This statue of Jesus was placed in downtown Chambersburg recently. I hear it’ll be moved around to different spots to try to remind people of the Savior.

Not sure how different people view a statue like this, but anything that can remind us of the real, true Jesus is great.

Hebrews‬ ‭2‬:‭16‬-‭18‬ says, “For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.”

That’s just a small bit of what the Bible says about Jesus, the real Jesus, but it has some great reminders for us.

Jesus became fully man while staying fully God. He came down to earth and can relate to earthly struggles and challenges. But He is God and can offer us the hope only God can offer.

Jesus never okays sin or approves of us doing wrong, but He does offer amazing salvation and hope to all who will come to Him in faith.
