How can someone prove they’re a true, real fan of their team? For me, one thing I do is to wear that Gators lanyard every day as I teach…in public! Gets tougher each week of football season, but I am a real Florida Gators fan.
If it’s real, it shows up. And if it’s real, it doesn’t just go away when you have hard times
1 Thessalonians 1:5 says, “For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.”
They were different. They shared the Gospel in a Spirit-filled way and lived Spirit-filled lives.
Some of us are loyal sports fans, but we should all prove our love for God every day. It’s not just something to talk about. Salvation is the greatest truth in the world and should affect every area of our lives.
