Pickleball and especially time together made for a great morning!
We’ve been married for over 14 years now, but it’s easy for a lot of newlyweds to think that all they need is love for a great marriage. Compatibility and even some financial stability (among other things) sure do help though! I’m so thankful for our Godly marriage!
Sadly, some people bring naïve beliefs that “love is all you need” to their view of God as well with ideas like, “But I thought God is nothing but love!”
God is love, but He is also holy. He loves perfectly, but He is also righteous and cannot ignore sin. What He does do is show us the only way to have our sins forgiven.
Psalm 98:2-3 says, “The LORD hath made known his salvation: His righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen. He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.”
When we see the one true God as He really is, we see that He is perfectly loving, perfectly just, perfectly merciful, and perfectly amazing. I hope each of us will grow a little bit closer to God today.
