We’ve done the Mentos and Coke thing before, but that contraption on top of the 2-liter let us put in 11 Mentos all at once and forced the exploding soda to come out through a small hole in the top! We all enjoyed the show!
All that fizz was in there, and the Mentos did an amazing job of unlocking it.
Simple (and really fun!) example of the fact that we have hope and power in us if we have Jesus. We just need to “unlock the power” by filling our lives with Jesus instead of going our own way or relying on our own strength.
Colossians 1:27-28 says, “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:”
On our own we’ll never be perfect or complete, but every moment we live in Christ’s power and let His love and truth flow through us is a moment we will live in perfect completeness that goes way beyond ourselves.
