Jen gave Cleo a piece of potato, and Cleo went and hid so our other dog couldn’t take it from her!
It’s easy to want things to be for only a certain group of people (and have that group of people be only you or only me)! Kinda silly for a dog with a potato but really a problem when we start to think God only values certain people.
Ephesians 1:4-5 says, “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,”
I know the doctrines of predestination and foreknowledge can be confusing, but it’s clear that God has a plan for those who will accept Him.
And if that sounds “too exclusive,” remember He has a plan to save everyone. But only those who come to Him in faith get to enjoy eternal salvation, forgiveness of sins, and His perfect plan and purpose for their lives right here, right now.
God loves everyone and has made salvation available to everyone. He wants everyone to come to Him. We should too!
