Little by little this stump is burning away. One day, one fire, one chain sawing at a time, it’s steadily shrinking.
I’ve never burned up a stump before, but diligence often brings results where skill alone can’t.
Proverbs 22:29 says, “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; He shall not stand before mean men.”
We often aim for outward success and results, but we often need to focus on simply being diligent.
It’s great to rest and relax at times, but in general we should work diligently.
God will never bless efforts that only exist in our plans or our imagination, but He does bless diligent work.
