Addison and Brooklyn start school tomorrow! We pray that they learn well academically and grow spiritually throughout this year. As much as I’d love to impact the whole world, the greatest impact I can make, the greatest legacy I can leave behind, is the influence I have with my own daughters. After that, influencing our church and anyone else I can for Jesus is the greatest opportunity of the Christian life.
2 Corinthians 3:1-2 says, “Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you? Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:”
The people Paul influenced were his legacy. He risked his freedom and even his life to follow Jesus and impact everyone he could.
In Galatians 4:19, he describes it this way: “My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,”
Discipling people and helping anyone grow in Christ can be extremely difficult, but our influence for Jesus is the greatest thing we can leave behind.
