I’m often amazed how strong eggs are! We put this one between a couple rolls of tape for balance and weight distribution, and it easily help those books without cracking. God designed a lot of strength into an egg shell, and He wants to build amazing strength into our lives as He directs us one decision at a time.
Psalm 90:17 says, “And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: And establish thou the work of our hands upon us; Yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.”
Some great things for us all to pray! We need God to establish the work of our hands, to be the one who strengthens and directs us and makes what we do actually matter.
Psalms 127:1 says, “Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it:
except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.”
Vain: empty, worthless, pointless, and meaningless. There’s a lot of wasted, vain effort all around us and in our own lives if we’re honest. It’s easy to work hard at things that don’t really matter. It’s much better to allow God to establish the work of our hands. As He strengthens and directs us, we can keep going no matter what at things that genuinely matter.
God’s blessing is much more important than our getting our own way.
