Maybe more of a random challenge for Addison and Brooklyn than something you’ve ever thought about, but I asked them how we could tell if there were coffee grounds in that cup of old coffee from the bottom of the pot.
They figured out a good test quickly: Add milk. You really can’t tell with black coffee, but you sure can start to tell when you had milk. The lighter color reveals what’s there.
That works for coffee, but some things in life take a little deeper test.
Proverbs 20:3 says, “It is an honour for a man to cease from strife: But every fool will be meddling.”
How we handle strife and drama and conflict reveals a lot about us! Do we join right in and stir things up even more or avoid strife when we can?
Do we always have to be involved or can we stay out of the drama? There are times we need to genuinely help, but quite often we just want the gossip or to join the fight.
Probably an area we can all improve on (I know I can!).
